My wife and I just got back home from the most amazing wedding I could have ever dreamed of in Mazunte, Oaxaca! Our wedding day was truly the best day of my life, and it's all because we were able to make our dream wedding come true with Angie, Sara, and all of their trusted vendors!
We live in the US and after deciding on our venue location we found Events Weddings Mexico online and had our initial phone introduction on WhatsApp. From the first time meeting on the phone we knew we liked Angie and Sara and were in good hands. Throughout the months of meticulous planning over text sending messages, budgets, inspiration photos, and pintrest posts we arrived at our venue a few days before the wedding with everything in order just as we imagined it!
From the flowers, to the music and photographer...the chef, cake, and the drinks...everything was smooth, hit the mark, and created a wedding day that exceeded ours and our guest's expectations. Communication was easy and thorough, payment was made easy for all of the vendors, and when our special day came everything was taken care of perfectly. They even arranged all of our transportation to and from the airport for all of our guests making it easy on the guests for both timing with flights and payment taken care of ahead of time.
I absolutely could not recommend working with Events Weddings Mexico more to anyone looking to have their perfect wedding! Thank you Angie and Sara for planning and executing the best day of our lives!

We staged an elopement with Playa Wedding and it was awesome, fun and unforgettable, The wedding ceremony was simple, surprising, filled with symbolism, and profoundly spiritual. The coordinator was prompt, friendly, flexible, and brimming with Mexican hospitality. This was the best wedding I've ever attended. If you want to enjoy your own wedding rather than fuss over petty details, then run away with them. We were very happy to start our union this way, reflecting how we want our lives together to evolve.

I travelled from Vancouver Canada to Mexico with my best friend to meet two potential wedding planners. We met one planning company which I won’t name (that ripped us off $500 USD) and the other was, Sara from Playa Wedding. I knew immediately upon meeting Sara and her business partner Michelle that we would be in good hands.
Sara and her team are AMAZING! We used their services for 3 separate wedding week events. We booked our full wedding planning, a Mayan family blessing and a Cacao Ceremony (I will elaborate below).
Full Wedding Co-ordination- Sara had a lot of people helping us and provided us with fantastic vendors. All of the vendors were professional and went above and beyond our expectations. From our food (10/10), to our minister, to the flowers, the cake(so good) the live music, and the transportation for our guests all week, everyone was so happy and had the most amazing time. Our friends and family all said it was the best wedding they had ever been to, and I agree.
Mayan Blessing-Me, my husband and daughter went a week before our guests and did a reverse honeymoon. We organized a Mayan blessing with Sara and Cristian at a Cenote in Riviera Maya close to our rental house. The cenote was beautiful and decorated with petals and a Mayan alter. Cristian shared the knowledge of his ancestors and gave some great marital and family advice which we will hold dear to hearts forever.
Cacao Heart Opening Ceremony-13 people from our wedding group participated in the ceremony aged 26-75. The cacao ceremony is so beautiful and cannot be described in words. Everyone loved it:) A must try!!
